Storia

Il nome di Lilienthal è famoso per aver ospitato nel mwhgXIX secolo un famoso mwhwosservatorio astronomico, fondato da mwiaJohann Hieronymus Schröter. Lavorarono qui, tra gli altri, mwiqFriedrich Wilhelm Bessel e mwigKarl Ludwig Harding, che qui scoprì l'mwiwasteroide mwja3 Giunone. L'osservatorio fu dismesso nel mwjq1850.
